Denver Based SR International Logistics Expands Its Service Footprint to Sacramento

Denver, CO August 2, 2005 - Denver-based Global Project Logistics Network (GPLN) member, SR International Logistics, Inc. (SRIL) has opened a new office in Sacramento in the second half of July says a company spokesman. Marina Bazana, a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, has been chosen to head the operation. “Marina’s extensive logistics experience and multi-lingual skills made her the ideal candidate for this position,” says Russell Steele, the company’s managing director. SRIL plans to focus on the Northern California / Nevada region and sees good potential in the Asian, Central and South American Markets.

SRIL is continuing their proven formula of recognizing emerging markets and coupling that with the recruitment of international college students. These young international graduates are on the cutting edge of global business and marketing and they have an understanding of culture and language. Now that the company has a good history in the Asian regions, it is looking toward the expanding South and Central American markets. The move to Northern California was a logical step as it is central to several major ports and heavily connected to both the Asian and Latin trade arenas.

This eight-year-old international freight forwarding and procurement company sets itself apart by primarily hiring multi-lingual international graduates. “We recognized that in a post 9-11 world, to better serve the client, we needed to understand more than just their cargo,” says Russell Steele, “so currently 17 languages are fluently spoken in the multi-cultural company and our website has been translated into various languages.” The Company plans to continue expanding to additional tactical locations as the opportunities arise.
