Go Gauge Projects Move Steel Girders & Heavy Cargo
GPLN member Go Gauge Projects from India recently demonstrated its exceptional expertise by successfully managing the Breakbulk transportation of 29 steel girders from a factory in China to UAE. Each girder, weighing 25 tons and measuring 13 meters in length, was transported within a challenging 48-hour EXW timeframe.
Our scope included arranging 29 trailers for local transport from the factory to the port, ensuring meticulous coordination to meet strict timelines. Despite the shipment occurring over a weekend, our team efficiently completed customs clearance on Sunday, avoiding any delays. The cargo was then loaded onto a breakbulk vessel for the journey to Jebel Ali.
With another shipment Go Gauge successfully delivered 800 FRT of heavy cargo from Shanghai to India.
The shipment involved three units of FRT 800 of project cargo, which was smoothly transported from Shanghai, China, to Ennore, India.
This project required detailed planning, from efficient cargo handling at the port of origin to ensuring on-time delivery at the final destination.
Every step was executed by our team with a strong focus on safety and precision, adhering to international best practices for project cargo logistics. Moving Heavy, Moving Smart!

Green Worldwide Shipping handle time-sensitive project
GPLN member Green Worldwide Shipping (Green) from USA successfully coordinated the heavy lift transport of an Aluminum Can Decorator Machine for a U.K. client, ensuring its timely delivery from Centennial, CO, USA, to Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The machine, measuring 5.9 meters in length, 2.54 meters in width, and 4 meters in height, with a gross weight of 16 tons, was required urgently at the destination due to a strict delivery deadline. The value of the equipment was $1.3 million. Due to the machine’s significant height, special handling precautions were necessary to protect the cargo during transport.
The client needed a fully developed transportation plan developed and deployed in 16 days to maintain their tight delivery schedule. Green’s team acted quickly to secure a reliable carrier due to the project’s tight timeline. With the strict delivery deadline approaching, it was crucial to ensure the Aluminum Can Decorator Machine arrived in Saudi Arabia on time to meet production schedules.
Shipped by marine vessel, the machine was secured to a flat rack before being loaded onto the vessel. Its 4 meter height required special handling to prevent any damage during transit. Heavy-duty cranes and lifting straps were used to load the machine, and custom restraints were applied to stabilize the freight. A tailored transportation plan ensured the right vessel was selected to accommodate the machine’s dimensions and meet the required transit time. These efforts were essential in meeting the client’s deadline while protecting the cargo.
Green Worldwide Shipping recently managed also the transport of five oversized press machines from Italy to Ohio.
Project Overview:
- Mode of Transport: Ocean, Barge, Trucking
- Commodity: Press Machines (5 Units)
- Gross Weight: 338,500 kg (744,351 lbs.)
- Origin: Italy / Destination: Ohio, USA
- Total Value of Commodity: US 3,208,300.70
This large-scale logistics project was marked by a series of technical and logistical hurdles, yet it was successfully completed despite these challenges. This project highlights the intricate challenges of moving over dimensional cargo across multiple modes of transportation and underscored the importance of scheduling flexibility and hands-on oversight.
The client, a European industrial manufacturer, required timely delivery of critical machinery to Ohio. The over dimensional cargo, combined with regulatory and logistical challenges, demanded careful planning and execution.
Key to the project’s success was the well-planned project schedule and direct oversight at each transloading site. Given the large size and weight of the cargo, every mode transition required precision. This approach allowed the team to address any issues promptly, preventing delays from escalating.
“We accounted for potential delays by building in buffer time into the intercoastal transit schedule. Planning for the unexpected allowed us to deliver days before the client’s deadline.” said Erick Drennan, National Project Manager of Green Worldwide Shipping.

PROTRANSER handle heavy Railway Crane
GPLN member PROTRANSER’s team from China delivered a set of 200+ tons Railway Crane from Tianjin RORO terminal to a jobsite in Cangzhou City, Hebei province, China. The dimension and weight for this upper carriage was 21*3.22*3.30 m and 103 tons. The undercarriage was 16.16*3.12*2.60 m, and 99 tons. Due to the heavy weight we had to strengthen the ground with small stones and steel plates at the jobsite for safety reason. “On the road. For you. With you.”

Polaris Projects Concludes 2024 with Remarkable Achievements
GPLN member Polaris Projects, the specialized project division of Polaris Shipping Agencies LLC, UAE, celebrated a successful close to 2024 by completing several critical time-sensitive shipments on a positive note:
A key highlight of the year was the Polaris Automotive Division’s involvement in a historic journey inspired by Australian adventurer Francis Birtles’ legendary drive from London to Melbourne nearly a century ago. Daily Telegraph cartoonist Warren Brown and editor-at-large Matthew Benns embarked on an epic 24,000 km expedition in their vintage Bean roadster to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, a charity proudly supported by King Charles as its patron.
In the UAE, Polaris played a crucial role in ensuring the journey progressed seamlessly. Our dedicated team managed the traveller’s entry at the UAE border from Saudi Arabia, facilitated all necessary formalities, including customs clearance, and supervised the containerization and onward shipment of the Bean roadster and Ford dual-cab support vehicle to Singapore.
Polaris Projects also successfully concluded a deal to handle the transportation of around 4500 CBM of used construction equipment’s including Rock trucks, Backhoes and pipelayers from multiple origins to Jebel Ali for storage and distribution. The first shipment has already arrived at our designated storage facility.
Our scope of work included receiving the units on an FAS (Free Alongside Ship) basis at UAE ports, water wash cleaning, conducting quality checks, reassembling dismantled accessories, and performing necessary repairs. Additionally, Polaris managed all associated logistics activities. We also facilitated physical inspections of the stored units for potential buyers. Once a sale is finalized, the remaining units will be shipped to prospective buyers under Polaris’ contract.

JSL GLobal handle challenging project Ex UAE to Africa
GPLN member JSL Global Qatar Project division loaded recently one heavy cargo weighing 105MT from Jebel Ali/Dubai to Africa. Dimension: 11.10m* 4.40m * 4.22 m
Challenges: To get a direct vessel ex Europe to Africa for such a heavy piece, as it was moved to Dubai as a transshipment. The shipment was first in the port for a few days as the JSL team/partner were working on suitable RORO operator who could handle this heavy piece.
The ramp capacity was the main challenge for most of the RORO operators and due to this fact, this piece was declined by many RORO operators, also in regards to the heavy weight of this single piece.
But the RORO options were much more viable/feasible due to very high freight level for Breakbulk vessels ex UAE to Africa compared to a direct vessel from Europe. JSL Global Qatar handled finally successfully all local formalities, transportation and movement Ex Jebel Ali to Africa.

Fleet Line Shipping moves modules
Our GPLN member from UAE, Fleet Line Shipping, has recently made a movement involving 4 x modules measuring up to 37 m length x 15.54 m width x 8 m height and weighing up to 450 MT each. The modules were brought from the fabricator yard in Hamriyah FZE to Hamriyah, Sharjah port, using 104 axle-SPMT’s. Several temporary civil work modifications had to be done, including temporary removal of electric posts & sign boards. The modules were eventually loaded using the RORO method on a deck carrier.

3P Logistics are busy with turbine components deliveries
In February 2025 GPLN member 3PL Industrial Projects, delivered boilers from Lithuania to a new UK Project: There were 3 trucks with boilers of 4 m height.
This was the largest investment in public recycling facilities in north London. Construction on the replacement Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) at Edmonton EcoPark began in early 2022 and is progressing, with a good level of productivity on site. The substantial first phase of the civil construction works is nearing completion with the project’s main contractor, ACCIONA. The workforce carrying out the activities covered by the National Agreement for the Engineering Construction Industry (NAECI) is currently delivering the structural steelwork for the boiler, flue gas treatment area and access platforms.
North London Heat and Power Project is North London Waste Authority’s ambitious plan to redevelop the over 50-year-old Edmonton EcoPark, delivering a new sustainable waste hub to replace the existing energy from waste plant and provide flagship recycling facilities for north London’s residents.
Responsible for this project was Mr. Ilya Goncharov, Head of Industrial Projects at 3PL Group.
Also in February 2025, 3PL Industrial Projects successfully began the transportation of oversized wind turbine components for Vestas in Denmark. This marks the beginning of a regular logistics operation, further solidifying 3PL’s position as a key player in industrial transportation.
And in January 2025, 3PL Industrial Projects secured a long-term contract to transport wind turbine parts—measuring approximately 6 meters in width—from Vietnam to Vestas’ facility in Lindø Munkebo, Denmark. This complex operation involves multiple logistical challenges, including road transportation from Aarhus port, covering a distance of 170 kilometers, exclusively during nighttime hours.
The first shipment was successfully loaded on February 12 and delivered the following day, February 13. Due to the width of the cargo, each truck required an escort of 3 pilot cars, in compliance with Danish transportation regulations. This operation is set to continue, with additional shipments scheduled to arrive in the spring of 2025.
Ilya Goncharov, Head of Industrial Projects at 3PL, was responsible for overseeing this critical transportation project. Reflecting on the success of the initial deliveries, Goncharov emphasized the importance of precision planning and execution in handling oversized cargo.
“This project demonstrates our ability to manage complex industrial logistics with efficiency and reliability. Coordinating international imports, road transportation, and regulatory compliance requires seamless teamwork, and I’m proud of our team’s dedication to delivering excellence for Vestas,” said Goncharov.

TSL AUSTRALIA Deliver Under Pressure with Precision and Expertise
In the fast-paced world of logistics, time-sensitive shipments often come with unexpected challenges. At TSL AUSTRALIA (www.tslaustralia.com) we specialize in navigating these complexities, ensuring that even the most demanding projects are executed seamlessly.
Recently, our team managed an urgent shipment of oversized timber arches, some measuring over 22 meters in length and 4 meters in width. The project was not without its challenges—production delays and last-minute packing list changes left our client struggling to secure a suitable vessel. With only one week until the loading deadline, we explored every available option and successfully secured a charter vessel with deck space, keeping the shipment on track.
However, securing the vessel was just the beginning. The cargo required strict on-wharf fumigation due to seasonal regulations, with limited daylight hours for loading. To add to the complexity, delayed truck arrivals meant fumigation had to be split over two days, requiring careful coordination to avoid disruptions. TSL worked closely with agents, fumigators, stevedores, and the vessel crew, adapting in real time to ensure the shipment was successfully loaded on schedule.
At TSL AUSTRALIA, we thrive under pressure. Our expertise, industry relationships, and ability to manage unpredictable situations make us a trusted partner for complex and urgent shipments. When time is critical, and the stakes are high, TSL delivers.
For seamless logistics solutions, no matter the challenge; we’ve got you covered.
